Financial Need |
Statistics show that the median household income on the Sunshine Coast was the 9th worst among BC's 29 regional districts (Vital Signs 2019). In addition, the percentage of children in low income increased to 8.6%. One of the solutions to income inequality is education. The financial barriers for many Sunshine Coast women make furthering their education out of reach.

Support for Women |
Our bursary program supports women who are committed to advancing their education to improve the quality of life on the Coast for themselves, their children and the community.
|
Our Recipients |
The feedback from bursary recipients is that they could not have succeeded without the Society’s support and encouragement, that “it is a wonderful feeling to be supported by my community and I look forward to reciprocating any way I can” and that the bursaries are making a positive impact both on their lives and the community.
